Effects on Soil Bacterial Organisms in an Alfalfa Monocropping System after Corn Insertion and Nitrogen Fertilization

چکیده

Alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) and corn (Zea mays are common forage plants for feeding livestock, their effects on soil bacterial organisms have been extensively studied. However, there is little comprehensive research function in a long-term alfalfa monocropping system after insertion fertilization. The of alfalfa–corn rotation (AF: monocropping, RA: rotation) nitrogen fertilization (RA0 RA15) were investigated field experiment. results showed that significantly increased the aboveground biomass (AGB) nitrate nitrogen, decreased (NO3−-N) (p < 0.05). In addition, community structure among treatments was changed by rotational RA diversity compared with AF 0.01), most communities phyla Actinobacterota Proteobacteria. had lower relative abundance than system. prediction found carbon cycle processes more active those AF. RDA analysis revealed NO3−-N pH main environmental factors affecting

Nitrogen use efficiency and life cycle of nodules in alfalfa after different mineral fertilization and soil cultivation

Nitrogen use efficiency and life cycle of root nodules in alfalfa after different mineral fertilization and soil cultivation practices were studied. Field trial was conducted in the Institute of Forage Crops, Pleven, Bulgaria on leached chernozem subsoil type and no irrigation. The next treatments were tested: i) for fertilization as follows: N0P0K0 (control); N60P100K80 (an accepted technology...

Simulating long-term and residual effects of nitrogen fertilization on corn yields, soil carbon sequestration, and soil nitrogen dynamics.

Soil carbon sequestration (SCS) has the potential to attenuate increasing atmospheric CO2 and mitigate greenhouse warming. Understanding of this potential can be assisted by the use of simulation models. We evaluated the ability of the EPIC model to simulate corn (Zea mays L.) yields and soil organic carbon (SOC) at Arlington, WI, during 1958-1991. Corn was grown continuously on a Typic Argiudo...

Consistent effects of nitrogen fertilization on soil bacterial communities in contrasting systems.

Ecosystems worldwide are receiving increasing amounts of reactive nitrogen (N) through anthropogenic activities. Although the effects of increased N inputs on plant communities have been reasonably well studied, few comparable studies have examined impacts on whole soil bacterial communities, though they play critical roles in ecosystem functioning. We sampled soils from two long-term ecologica...
